Catherine Davies, Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Catherine DaviesHaving grown up as a dancer, Catherine always had an interest in what the body can do physically and what happens to the body when injury strikes. Time and time again, she’s seen people in her own life get back to top physical condition after visiting a Physiotherapist. Eventually, Catherine decided she wanted to help people herself, and the rest is history.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Curtin which she obtained in 2014. Each year, she continues to participate in continuing education courses and has added Certificates in Mat and Reformer Pilates instruction. Soon, she will attend a hip and groin clinic to provide better assistance to patients with complex hip injuries or developmental problems like dysplasia.

Outside of the practice, Catherine enjoys dancing and teaches a few classes each week in contemporary and jazz technique. She also continues to train in ballet herself. Before joining the Arena Joondalup Physiotherapy team, Catherine worked as a masseuse for elite athletes including the Dockers regularly. She makes sure to incorporate many of the techniques learned during that time of her life in her Physio sessions today.
